Thank you - I live in Western PA and have lots of ticks.

Customer Question

Thank you - I live in Western PA and have lots of ticks. I've removed at least 3 this past summer. I've been tired all the time, ache all over and just plain feel lousy. I've told my Dr. and he does a blood test but it comes up negative all the time. Can I get a false negative ands what should I tell my Dr. when I see him again - I'm miserable!
JA: Is this a time sensitive issue? What type of specimen are they testing?
Customer: Blood - what do you mean by time sensitive?
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I do have fibromyalgia but this is different from my usual flares for which I take neurotin. I am also a reasonable healthy 73 year old woman.

it sounds like you don't have lyme disease

most tick bites don't cause lyme disease.

you could have other medical issues causing your aches all over

you could have arthrits, polymyalgia rheumatica, fibromyalgia. low estrogen levels.
