Dear,

Thanks for staying online.

I can understand your concern.

Well, having pain in neck, during deep breath could be related with- pinched nerves in the neck.

You need to apply ice packs on cervical spine for 10-15 minutes and it can be done 3-4 times a day.

You should take Motrin 400mg twice a day.
You should take adequate rest, and remain away from lifting any heavy objects. You should not work on computer for more than half an hour in a single stretch.
You can use Soft Collars, as it allows the muscles of the neck to rest and limit neck motion. Physical therapy will also be helpful.
Hot fomentation will also be helpful.

If symptoms doesn't improves, then some physicians do give oral steroids in severe radiculopathy cases. A short course of oral corticosteroids may also help reduce pain.Usually Physical therapy is very helpful.

For the time, you can use measures, as advised above and wait for one week.

In case symptoms doesn't start to improve in 1 week after using these tips, then you need to get X-ray of cervical spine.

Hope this helped
