Customer Question

I am a typically healthy young 28 year old female. I struggle with major anxiety when it comes to going to the doctor, and I Just had routine bloodwork done for a yearly physical. About a month ago I had a medical abortion. I went to the lab today to get my results prior to my upcoming appointment with my physician. I am nervous about a few of the readings, as I was flagged in the H, or L range in three areas that are concerning me. I am obsessing over this, and don't know that I can wait until my appointment November 2nd to get answers .

I am concerned as to why the monocytes ABS are low.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 9 months ago.

that is a CBC or complete blood count.

your levels are fine.

high MCH levels are only worrisome if your hemoglobin levels are low or if you have anemia.

you don't have anemia.

so you don't have to worry

The monocytes seem significantly low however?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 9 months ago.

there are many different types of white blood cells: neutrophils, macrophages, monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, eosinophils, etc.

your bone marrows makes each as needed to help your immune system keep you healthy.

it is normal for your monocytes to go up and down as your immune system needs them.
