Taking 20mg of Celexa at night right now.. and now the doctor has prescribed amitriptyline for my stomach and headache pain, is it okay to take these together? Or should one be taken at night and one in morning? Nervous about trying new medicine

amitriptyline is an old antidepressant which has a small chance to interact with celexa.

both can increase risks for low blood sodium levels, and serotonin syndrome

I would talk to your doctor about these potential risks before you start the amitriptyline.

I'm not sure why he is prescribing this for your abdominal and headache pains.

amitriptyline can cause fatigue so some doctors prescribe it before bed to help patients sleep better at night time.
