I get cramps (charlie horses) in my legs and feet at night.

Customer Question

I get cramps (charlie horses) in my legs and feet at night.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: I was wearing compression stockings this last time, and yes I get some swelling in the legs.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have a condition I don't know the name. The heart asks for blood. The left side of the brain says bring the blood up from the feet, then the right side of the brain says, no your not getting it and I faint, falling forward. I also have high cholestrol.

Dear customer,

Thank you for your question.

What is your age and gender? Were any investigations done regarding this? Do you take any daily medications?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Dr. Ravoof,
71 years old, female. And I take a statin everyday., plus a general vitamin for over 50. Then I take a CO-Q-10 200 mg because the statin causes your body to loose CO-Q-10. And Tums 75 twice everyday. Thank you.
