Hello. I noticed a few days ago a small clear (possibly a tiny bit yellow) like egg-white consistency glob on the outside corner of my left eye. I thought it was just some morning goop so I tried to pull it out but it seems attached.
JA: When was the last time you had your eyes checked? In general, how has your vision been lately?
Customer: Haven't had my eyes checked in years and my sight has always been great and I haven't noticed any changes.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Not really anything I can think of, I am a 25 year old woman in relatively good health I think

Hi Dr. Ashori here, could you upload a picture of it so that I can see it?

It could be a benign cyst or scleral edema, a picture would help me determine what it is.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I found this picture online, not my eye, but same thing I'm sure. Mine is smaller and does not look as "full" or rounded as this one.

Appears to be a scleral cyst. Is it hard or soft?

If soft then it's benign and nothing to worry about.

If yours doesn't look quite as full then it's likely a cyst.

Could be from dryness, could be from irritation.

I would recommend 2 weeks of artificial tears and it should clear up.

How long have you had it for?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It is soft and doesn't really look like anything more than an eye goober that you would often get in the morning on the inside corner that can't be wiped out (also, this is not on the inside corner, but the outside) I just noticed it 3 days ago and hasn't seemed to change. I will try the artificial tears. Thank you for your help!

Not a problem, doesn't sounds serious either way.

If it changes please send me a picture of it.
