Customer: My fingers may tingle but not my arm
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I take meds for blood pressure cholesterol and an aspirin a day. Just hate an er visit unless it's necessary. I had a stress test 2 weeks ago that was fine.

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Dull pain at the neck and arm suggests likely muscle spasm.

Tingling of the fingers is possible due to the nerve irritation.

nerves come down from the cervical spine.

So, there is also possibility of arthritis in the spine causing these symptoms.

Recent negative stress test is reassuring.

This likely makes heart problem as a low risk.

Hence, you should see your doctor for a clinical evaluation non urgently.

Physical therapy should help with spine or muscle related problem.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.

Can I have a muscle spasm if I haven't done any thing to pull or strain a muscle? Nothing on sets the pain, I can just be sitting and the pain happens. The pain is enough at times to keep me awake

Yes you can --more likely with spine arthritis like herniated disc at cervical spine.

Heart related symptoms will be more apparent with physical exertion.

Best wishes
