Customer Question

Good Afternoon. I have some concerns about a few things going on within my body. Today, after eating I got this burning feeling in my limbs and had to run to the bathroom. While in there I passed loose yellow stool and I felt genuinely sick afterwards. My body felt like it was on fire and I was pale. As i am laying down, I can feel my heartbeat in my chest and I am getting random zaps and twitches throughout my body. I also feel my limbs tingling and have this abnormal warm feeling. I also have a headache which is primarily in both of my temples. I am currently not on any medication. I have an endoscopy, which showed a bunch of inflammation in my digestive track but have no actual cause to why that is. I am very uncomfortable and I don't know what to do. What should I do?

It sounds that you have a lower GI tract infection for one..

The burning feeling MIGHT be due to electrolyte disturbances brought on by the diarrhea as one possibility ..

Certain types of food poisoning can have neurological symptoms ..

I would advise that you be seen at the ER to be on safer side..

Physical exam // evaluate you for dehydration and check electrolytes

Stool samples may be sent to lab as well ...

I hope that this information is helpful for you.

Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

I will be happy to get back with you.
