DM tends to stand for Diabetes Mellitus or diabetes.

it sounds like you are having nerve damage causing abnormal spongy feeling.

do you have diabetes? gabapentin 300mg 3 times a day is still a low dose for nerve damage or neuropathy.

you should talk to your doctor about slowly increasing the dose up to see if that helps your spongy feeling? where are you having this? in your feet?

have you consulted with a neurologist nerve doctor about this yet?
