I got blister on my foot from a new shoe .
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: And it swelled my foot
JA: Any recent injuries? How long have you been dealing with the swelling?
Customer: No doctor
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Nothing in history.... But I did get blisters in the past from a shoe in the back of my foot. Usually would puss up I would drain and it would dry. Now my foot swelled up and I'm worried

Hi there. Most blister will heal on their own if pressure on the wound is avoided and they are left open to the air. Most swelling associated with blisters will go down within a couple days with elevation of the foot above the level of the heart. If there is redness or pus or you are having fever, you should have the foot examined right away. Similarly, if you are prone to blood clots or are having pain in your calf, you should make an appointment to see your family doctor.
