This is Dr. David

your mum could be having some neuropathy or nerve damage in the nerves in her legs and feet

this can cause the feet to send abnormal sensations to the brain

these abnormal sensations are called parasthesias.

she should talk to her doctors about prescription medications like neurontin (gabapentin) or lyrica (pregabalin) which could help her symptoms get better.

she should also have her magnesium and B12 levels checked as well

low levels sometimes can cause abnormal nerve function .

does she have diabetes? diabetes often can cause neuropathy and abnormal nerve sensations
