I have a sore on my leg that will not heal. Have seen 5

Customer Question

I have a sore on my leg that will not heal. Have seen 5 Dermatologist, 2 GP's had numerous Biopsies and an Ultrasound. No conclusive diagnosis from anyone. Place will scab over and then erupt and drain. Area is dry and flaky despite the use of lotions (currently Amlactin Cerapeutic). Some tenderness. Also have 2 other areas under the skin that bulge and are tender. 2 Dermatologist gave Antibiotics, one said it was nothing to worry about, just an inflammation of fatty tissue that would go away. Have had it for over 3 years. One GP checked for staph - negative.

Hi Sharon. Are you taking any medications?

No prescription meds. Take a multi-vitamin - Geritol Complete daily.

That looks like an atypical chronic ulcer. Have you had it cultured? Have you been checked for TB?
