Customer Question

I am a 38 year old female and I went to the er yesterday for headaches. I have had a thyroid problem in the past and the er did a ct scan and everything looked normal. Today it has been 24 hours since my visit and I feel very gittery all over. Yesterday my blood pressure was 156/107 at the hospital. Today I have been checking it every hour and it is still high topping at 153/103. Should I go back to the er? Or do I still Monitor it?

Hello this is Dr. Salama MD,

Do you take blood pressure medication?

You either need to go back to the ER or to your primary doctor for treatment of this elevated blood pressure.

it is abnormally high and is likely causing your headaches.
