I have little black things stuck in the root of my hair.

Customer Question

I have little black things stuck in the root of my hair. There are tons of them. If I scratch hard enough or pull in them with tweezers they move out of the root or pore but stay in hair follicle. I also have these little tiney almost transparent brown kind of worm looking things they look very much like my hair though. I saw a dermatologist P.A. She said she didn't see anything but Ivan see them and feel them sometimes it's like my scalp is literally burning. What is this because it's really freaking me out

You could have delusional parasitosis. You should see a psychiatrist.

Then why is my hair falling out. I moved into my apartment a few months ago and there is something in the carpet and I think that's what's in my hair. The exterminator said there was but he didn't know what!

Did your doctor use a dermatoscope to look at your scalp?
