My husband woke up and says he had some back pain on lower right side of back. He says he cannot get comfortable. Says he lifted a old tv yesterday. Not sure what cause of pain is?

This is Dr. Bonilla.

I understand your concerns. The problem you described is likely to be sciatica. He can take ibuprofen every 8 hours and walk as tolerated. He can also use warm and cold compresses. The pain usually last for 2-3 days. It the pain is not improving he can see his PCP to get a muscle relaxant medication. Let me know if you have any other questions.
