This is Dr. David

coughing up blood is serious

it can be from a lung infection or from dried mucus or could be from too much coumadin in your system or a very rare chance for a lung cancer.

you should go to the ER and see a doctor and get a chest CT scan and see a pulmonlogist

you may need a bronchoscopy scope procedure to look into your lungs to see where this blood is coming from

do you smoke or have smoked in the past?

bring a blood clot you have coughed up in a paper or glass cup and bring it to the hospital to show the doctors.

let me know if you have other questions.

if done for now, please leave positive rating of 3-5 stars so I can get credit for helping you today
