Customer Question

I have tested positive for giardia four times over the past 30 years and have been successfully treated with medication. Several months ago I had the classic symptoms but my single test came out negative so my primary care physician concluded my problem was something else. After almost two months my symptoms have subsided but I have requested an appointment with a gastroenterologist. The soonest he could see me would be September 20 -- over two months from now. If by chance I had giardia but it is in a "dormant" state could a test that far down the road reveal whether I HAVE/HAD giardia? Since I have yet to see the gastroenterologist he is not allowed to answer this question in advance.
