My 55 year old wife has a recurring problem. When ever there

Customer Question

My 55 year old wife has a recurring problem. When ever there is an unusual level of excitement or stress in her life she will react by becoming extremely tired--to the point of virtually passing out, suffer from migraine-like headaches, and confusion. Someone who does not know her would think she is either extremely drunk, or suffering from an excessive hangover even though she does not drink or do drugs. These events seem to be triggered by excitement. Even things like a family get together or birthday will set her off.
She is being treated for a thyroid issue and takes synthroid and she also has an issue with a miss formed kidney. My question is, is there a condition related to adrenal formation that may be causing this kind of reaction? I would like to have some thing to discuss with our family doctor to help resolve this issue.
