I have a feeling of shortness of breathe and a lump feeling

Customer Question

Hello! I have a feeling of shortness of breathe and a lump feeling in my throat. I have always had acid reflux and this feeling has gotten worse since drinking over the 4th of July weekend
JA: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: i can't actually see it I just have a feeling of a lump in the bottom of my throat and also my right gland under my neck
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have anxiety as well. I had an anxiety attack yesterday. I think it could be from dehydration maybe
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello and thank you for your question. I’d be happy to assist you.

I understand your concern.
Well as you describe, possible causes of such lump feeling in throat may include Laryngopharyngeal acid reflux,Globus pharyngeus due to stress, cricopharyngeal muscle spasms,Post nasal drip(excessive mucus production in sinuses).

You should try some self care measures like

Hydrate yourself with warm liquids.

Also do deep breathing exercises.

Take OTC Liquid Gaviscon and Prilosec.

Do saline gargles.

Take OTC Claritin if you have phlegm at back of throat.

Also avoid alcohol,spicy food,fried food,carbonated beverages.

You can eat a bland diet.

If your symptoms 'll get worse over the time then chest pain then visit ER ASAP.

Otherwise you'll be fine in next few days.

Let me know if you have any further query so we can discuss it thoroughly in every aspect.
