Customer Question

My granddaughter is 3 years old. She has a pretty severe peanut allergy. She has gone into
anaphylactic shock 2 times from peanuts. Her parents are terrified to take her to parties or gatherings with other children for fear of this allergy. They have epi pens. My question is, is it dangerous for her to just be around other children if they are having peanut butter or other peanut foods. Like if they touch her & they have peanut on their hand can she go into an allergic response from this?

Thank you for your question.

There is no danger in touching or being around kids.

It is important to prevent peanut intake.

Other than that she should be okay if someone touches peanuts on her skin.
