My hands and fingers are stiff and tingling every morning

Customer Question

My hands and fingers are stiff and tingling every morning upon awakening. It takes several minutes of gentle massage and movement to get them going. Recently I have begun experiencing similar symptoms in my feet and toes. Is this arthritis? An indication of something else?

Hi and welcome.

Yes you are right this can be rheumatoid arthritis, moreover there an element of peripheral neuropathy. I would suggest you to see your PCP for thorough examination and some baseline blood tests including X-rays and RA factor analysis so that exact diagnosis can be made and treatment can be started as soon as possible.
