I accidentally swallowed two teaspoons of magic mouthwash

Customer Question

I accidentally swallowed two teaspoons of magic mouthwash containing lidocaine, mylanta and benadryl. Just drink some water?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: Thyroid, high blood pressure, metformin, and I had Folfox chemo last Wednesday
JA: When was last time you had a check up? Is there a history of high blood pressure in your family?
Customer: My blood pressure meds are great. 113/70 yesterday.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No, just wondering if that small amount of magic mouthwash is bad.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and then connect you two.

Dear customer,

Thanks for your question.

No this will not lead to any complications or toxicity. Please do not worry. In fact some formulations of magic mouthwash are intended to be swallowed. Also these constituents are present in very low concentrations in the formulation.

Take care.
