My 9 year old daughter has been complaining of her stomach

Customer Question

Hi! My 9 year old daughter has been complaining of her stomach hurting between her bellybutton and sternum. It is slightly bulged/swollen and tender to the touch or movements. Not sure if this needs to be addressed asap?
JA: How long have you been in pain? Are you experiencing any vomiting or nausea?
Customer: She said something a few days ago and I gave her Tums and it's still bothering her. She has had a bout of diarrhea with some vomiting. But that was only 2 days ago.
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should be aware of?
Customer: No not that I know of? She has no medical conditions besides ADHD.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and then connect you two.

Thanks for this question

Yes, you do need to take her to ER for this

This could be an incarcerated hernia and it is not normal for kids to get pain and swelling in this area

They will need to do an ultrasound in ER

I would go tonight
