Customer Question

My mother is 85 years old. For the past two years she has had tingling and pin needles, as though some insect is biting inside her head. She did see three Dr.s and say it's just nerves and prescribed medicine that did not get of the problem. Any any advice?

This is Dr. David

she could have a pinched nerve high up in her neck causing these sensations.

she should consult a neurologist nerve doctor about these sensations.

if she has nerve damage or neuropathy causing these symptoms, medications like neurontin or lyrica could help her symptoms.

medications like Elavil or amitryptiline could help

what medications has she tried before?
