I fell on my ankle 10 day ago....ankle and foot still

Customer Question

I fell on my ankle 10 day ago....ankle and foot still swollen and bruised. Noticed bruising has spread to my toes. I have had little or no pain, walking on it with no problem. Do I need to be concerned with the spreading bruising

The lack of pain with walking and bearing weight are helpful and reassuring signs. The spread of bruising is a normal type occurrence. This happens as the intial sprain injury caused some bleeding of injured tissues under the skin. The blood spreads under the skin in following days and you will note the altered colors and gradual fading if the bruise . The swelling should also improve with added time.

The lack of pain is most reassuring sign for you though !!

I hope that this information is helpful for you
