Good afternoon, my name is ***** ***** last October I got sick with at the time the doctor thought was bronchitis. I was given antibiotics after five days my cough was not gettinng better and left for Spain on the tenth day my cough was very bad and I could hardly breath. I did have an inhaler
that would only give me and hour or so of relief. We ended up calling a doctor who came to the hotel and said the antibiotics must not have worked so he gave me more and three days later he had to come back to the hotel and sent me to the hospital. I had pneumonia
, my oxigen level was 91,92, after breathing treatments it would reach 94. i was treated with oxigen, antibiotics. after 7 days he let me leave to go back to the states but had to see a doctor when i got home. He told me to continue the rest of the antibiotics and gave me a steroid inhailor. I had five days left. On thee seventh day I went back to the doctor and he gave me a Z pack and steriods. after 8 more days my breathing was really bad, went to the ER. WE were now on six weeks of me being sick. They ran all kinds of tests. They stopped the antibiotic because my pneumonia was A typical Lung
Specialists in Spain and here asked me all kinds of questions they could not figure out why I know had pneumonia in both lungs and was so bad. That's when I remembered they stripped and waxed the floors where I work and no ventilation in the Store and I got sick within the week. So they treated me for Chemical pneumonia with steroids for about 6 weeks. The last CT scan showed I had broken bilaterally both my number 4 ribs and they were healing and thee pneumonia was cleared. That was taken on December 29th. 2015 Workman's comp denied the claim and said I couldn't prove it. Three of my managers said I couldn't have gotten it from the floor care because it was done over night and it just smelled bad. So the Store did the floors again but used an outside company and used different stripper, they stripped and waxed on Thursday and Friday. Friday I only worked 3 hours the smell not so bad but Saturday I worked almost nine hours, i was caughing a little here and there but nothing bad. Sunday when I wok it was worst, all day. A dry caugh, Monday i could tasted something like I would if i was getting a chest cold but Tuesday it was gone but started to wheeze a lot more. I told my Store manager what was happening and told her if it didn't get better in a day or two I was going to the doctor. She wouldn't fill out another workman's comp form and told me it was my fault and I knew the floors were being done and even thou they scheduled me i should have called out or went home. Today is now Thursday I use the steroid inhalor in the pm and now am using the rescue every five hours to subside the caughing and wheezing. I am not running a fever. I don't feel like I have a cold either. I have an appointment with my lung specialist on May 5th. Should I be very concerned about what is happening, or go to the ER?
