Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

You should get checked for cortisol excess due to the over production from adrenal glands.

Insulin resistance resulting in excess insulin production can cause weight gain as well.

Proinsulin level can be checked.

This can be addressed with Metformin even without diabetes.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.
