Customer Question

I normally run BP in the 120/75 range. This morning I nearly passed out, which has never happened before. Now I'm running a BP this evening in the 150-160/95-102 range after multiple checks. Do I need to go to the ER or can I call my doctor tomorrow?

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Your blood pressure is running moderately high.

Although not dangerous, this should be addressed by tomorrow.

Recent stress, kidney disease are common causes of high BP.

Please follow a low sodium diet.

Chest pain, shortness of breath, severe dizziness will warrant ER visit.
Best wishes,
