First of all, you should have had a colonoscopy at age 50, 60 and 70.
This would rule out polyps, inflammatory bowel disease, and microscopic colitis.
With the vomitting, I would suspect small bowel problems, or stomach ulcer.
Small bowel overgrowth is a possitillity.
Intermittent small bowel partial obstruction; possible, not likely.
Most commonly, infection, viral gastroenteritis, which you might be particularly susceptible to.
Or, staph infection from food. Badly stored and cooked chicken is a common offender.
It turns off like a tap when it stops.
