What does an EtG level of 1100 ng/ml LC/MS/MS 100ng/ml

Customer Question

What does an EtG level of 1100 ng/ml for an LC/MS/MS 100ng/ml cutoff for a urine test?
JA: The Doctor will need to help you with this. Please give me a bit more information, so the Doctor can help you best.
Customer: An 80 hour alcohol test was conducted on a urine specimen. The specimen was collected on January 5, 2016. The specimen was received at the lab on January 27, 2016 and was tested for ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate or EtG/EtS levels at a cutoff of 100ng/ml and the results showed EtG detected at 1100 ng/ml and EtS at 689 ng/ml.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I don't think so
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and connect you two.
Customer: I do not know how the specimen was stored or handled between January 5 - January 27, 22 days.

What type of ethanol exposure do these results imply?
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 1 year ago.

ETG level does not correlate well with type of alcohol or even the amount consumed.

The positive test implies the alcohol was definitely consumed.

In a normal individual this has to be at least 3 drinks of hard liquor to produce that level.

Best wishes
