Hello from JustAnswer.

If you have had no head or ear trauma, the most common cause of blood or liquid coming from the ear would be from an infection. Many ear infections will clear spontaneously, but if this has persisted for 5 days, that would indicate that it would probably require antibiotic to help clear the infection.

If there had been head trauma, blood from the ear would be concern about a possible fracture of the bone near the ear, and it would be better to be seen urgently. However, with no recent trauma, there is not the same level of urgency to be seen.

If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.
