Customer Question

i am 70 years old and have had 5 colonosvopies in my life. I never had hemeroids before the last colonsvopy. The doctor did not take any pictures and did not record the withdrawal time. the doctit's report says I had rectal bleeding and diverticulosis.
Is it likely that the colonsvopy caused my hemeroids? Is it likeky the dictir made a mistake during the colonosvopy tbat caused my hemeroids?

Hi there,

Colonoscopy cannot cause hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids are dilated veins which can bleed on friction.

Hence you may have developed them in the interim.

Colonoscopy can cause bleeding complication though.

Diverticular disease is caused by the poch formation in colon lining.

You should follow a high fiber diet.

Please take a probiotic daily.

Best wishes
