I am a diabetic, I am taking 2,000 mg of methformin dailey

I am a diabetic, I am taking 2,000 mg of methformin dailey and 5 mg of tradjenta dailey. In the morning my gulcose levels are 140s to 150s. I noticed that if I eat less the level is lower. Is is true that I am not taking enough meds to keep the glucose down in the mornings. Please explain. thanks.

Your fasting blood glucose levels are slightly on the higher side.

I would like them to be less than 120.

The maximum dose of metformin is 2550 daily so you can increase on the dose of metformin a little more to help control your blood glucose levels even better than they already are.
