it might not be a great idea for her to drink more water and fluids.
if she has heart weakness or heart failure, too much fluid in her body and diet can cause swelling in the feet and fluid back up in the lungs. congestive heart failure can do this.
the lasix is to help get rid of water and fluid out of her system.
I would weight her daily and try to limit how much water and fluids she drinks because of the weakness of her heart.
she should be on medications to help her heart to beat better as well.
I would try to go with her to her doctors appointment to talk about all of her medications to see if there are some which can be reduced or removed.
I would not change her medications without talking with her doctors

I would not push fluids for her.
she should just drink minimal amounts of water or juices or coffee with hear meals.
it can be difficult with chronic UTIs and edema in her legs.
lasix helps her pee out fluid to get rid of fluid out of her body.
she might need to be on a low dose antibiotics if she has chronic UTIs.
