Customer Question

After a slow three mile run last evening, I felt like I had run 20 miles. I was hammered. It took about an hour to recovery. Also my face and my upper torso were flush red. It seemed my heart rate was above my normal resting rate during the recovery time. During the run I was having a hard time catching my wind. Because of this, it was a slow, short but strenuous jog. I have been running about 4 miles every other day for four months. I am 56-yrs-old, 5'10 and 170pds. Should I get checked out or is it too late for anyone to figure out what might of been going on.

Hi there,

You should take this experience seriously and go for a check up, if you don't get symptoms of a common cold within three days after this run. A viral infection can decrease physical fitness before it shows other symptoms.
