I have been experiencing discomfort on my left side (back)

Customer Question

Customer: I have been experiencing discomfort on my left side (back) below shoulder blades but before the bottom of my ribs. The pain is roughly centered between my left side and my spine. It is an annoying dull ache with sharp pains that attract my immediate attention and discomfort. My muscles are tight in my back but this goes deeper within. Any thoughts
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Jen, female early 40s
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $34) to post your type of question to Medical Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?
Customer: Healthy thus far, not overweight
JA: OK. Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

This can still be paraspinal muscle spasm related pain.

Intercostal nerves can get pinched as a result causing a deeper pain.

Hence physical therapy, steroid injection should help in most cases.

Another possibility can be underlying heart condition.

That should be checked with EKG and stress test at least.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.
