Customer Question

I am 62 years old. I feel ok but am losing weight. This morning I was down to 118.5. My normal is 125. Should I be worried?

Dear customer,

What is your height? When did you last check your weight which showed 125? Do you suffer from any medical condition? Are you on an exercise regimen or on a diet?

Basically if someone loses more than 5% of her body weight over a period of 6 months or less, unintentionally, then this needs to be investigated. Most often weight loss is due to decreased food intake, malabsorption, and increased energy requirements, besides pathological causes of weight loss.

Take care.
