Customer Question

I have recently experienced pain from head to toe on the left side of my body only. Once the pain quit within 2-3 days I have experienced itching every where for no apparent reason, extreme fatigue, and bouts of nausea. Could all these things be related and what could they mean. Thanks dawn

Hi there,

This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

Yes they can be related.

Viral infection can cause inflammation of the nerves and all these symptoms commonly.

Another possibility can be metabolic disorders --diabetes, hypothyroidism for example.

Although uncommon, stroke can also cause these types of symptoms.

Migraine is another possibility.

Multiple sclerosis not common but possible.

Best wishes,

It was my pleasure to help you today.

Well I have been checking my sugar levels and they are normal as I have always had low blood sugar. Blood pressure is normal, and no temperature.. what does this leave?

Thyroid problem, Adrenal gland disorder, peripheral neuropathy are the other ones to look for.

Multiple sclerosis is a less common possibility.
