I had some blood work done because I thought my thyroid

Customer Question

I had some blood work done because I thought my thyroid levels were low. I had medullary thyroid cancer in 2010. I found out my levels have been below normal for a year in a half my liver enzymes are elevated . I have been having orange watery stools and pain in my upper left abdomen I have also been having PVCs which I'm seeing a cardiologist for can this all have to do with my hypothyroidism

This is Dr. David

with a history of thyroid cancer, your doctors should be giving you extra synthroid thyroid hormone to push your TSH levels down to below 1.0 or 0.5 range

lower TSH levels means less thyroid stimulation hormone which could stimulate any thyroid cancer cells in your body to grow.

if your TSH levels are low, you are more on the hyperthyroid side which can cause more watery stools and faster heart rate and PVCs and heart palpiations.

what is your TSH level when you had your thyroid hormones checked?
