This is Dr. David

ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer.

it is a breast cancer that originates from the cells that line the ducts of the breast

the ducts are what bring the milk from the glands to the nipples.

you need more testing including a breast MRI scan and a body CT scan to check for breast cancer spread.

you need to consult with a surgeon to see what type of surgery you can have done such as lumpectomy or mastectomy

ask your doctors if your breast cancer is estrogen receptor + or - and if her-2/neu is either + or -

these markers on the breast cancer cells will effect treatment decisions

when do you meet with the surgeons to talk about surgery for your breast cancer?
