I've had fatigue for years. For many years I thought it was CFS. I was able to survive a bout of viral myocarditis a year ago. i wonder if this life altering fatigue is risidual from VM. Awaiting a polycythemia vera lab to come back. may explain things, Should I go to an infectious disease doc? I'm really tired of my life! Thank you. I'm female,mid fifties. lost 50# ***** 4 months recently and now I'm 180 and 5'4.

I am sorry you are having such bad fatigue.

you need a full heart workup including cardiac echocardiogram and stress test to see if your heart is working properly.

you should get blood test to check for ebstein barr virus infection which can cause fatigue

you need a sleep study to see if you are not sleeping well at night. sleep apnea or lack of REM sleep at night time can cause faitgue

abnormal thyroid hormone levels can cause fatigue.

low B12, low iron, low vitamin D can cause fatigue.

MS and other issues can cause fatigue.
