Such a localized pain without any other stomach related symptoms sound muscle related.
Diaphragm is a major component with respiratory efforts.
And inflammation of diaphragm can cause pain with deep breathing efforts.
The inflammation can be caused by the viral infection, physical activities, even hiatal hernia.
A trial of anti inflammatory medication like over the counter Naproxen twice daily can be given.
Plenty of rest, avoidance of heavy lifting, bending also helpful.
Warm compress and topical Icy Hot ointment massaging can be tried as well.
Development of cough, fever, worsening shortness of breath should raise the question of lung infection or blood clot.
Any acidity, stomach pain with meals should raise the question of peptic ulcer disease.
