Customer Question

My dad is taking chemo for stage 4 cancer and has been having severe panic attacks. He has tried 2 different sleep medicines, Xanax and Ativan, Benadryl and Tylenol pm with no success. He has always had mild panic attacks but this has been constant for
a couple of weeks. He DOES NOT sleep and will not let my mom either. He will basically not let her get a foot away and it is exhausting her. He has a strange look on his face and shakes all over. We have also tried chamomile and acupressure. What is the best
medication for this type of panic attack. It is severe and I am not sure the doctors are understanding. We have been to the ER twice this week and all checked out OK including brain scan.

He should see a psychiatrist. He should try doxepin, tradozone, or mirtazapine for sleep and panic attacks. He should also have psychotherapy.
