This is Dr. David
I am sorry you are having such bad stomach pains.
a rock hard abdomen could be filled with fluid or from distended bowels from colitis or excessive gas in your bowels or severe constipation. you could have excessive swelling of your stomach from too much stomach acid
you need to see a doctor for a physical examination of your abdomen and a CT scan or ultrasound of your abdomen to check on what is inside.
you might need to have a colonoscopy if you haven't had one in 5-10 years.
you could be allergic to certain foods like milk or gluten which can cause your bowels to swell up and bloat.
you could benefit from increasing fiber and more fruits and vegetables in your diet.
if you are allergic to gluten or milk, avoiding gluten in pasta, bread, pizza dough and avoiding dairy could help your symptoms.
you might need stronger stomach acid reducing agents like nexium or protonix to decrease stomach acid
have you ever had a colonoscopy before?
