For the past year and a half or more, I've been walking 2 miles daily, usually on hilly trails or streets. Over the same period, I've been swimming long distances, most often using fins for improved speed. In the past month, I've developed shin pain, especially at night. Have taken an Aleve at times, or just an aspirin. I know that rest is probably the answer, but have become "addicted" to exercise as a mood enhancer.
