Dear Friend: My son had ingrown toenail removal 3 days ago.

Customer Question

Dear Friend:
My son had ingrown toenail removal 3 days ago. Today we are to change his bandages. He had to soak with dressing in Epsom salts. But gauze won't come off the wound as it has stuck to the scab and won't come off unless we pull it and we can't do that. Any ideas if what we can do to remove the gauze? Please help. Thank you

HI there,

I am online and I will be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you for your patience.

if you have any antibiotic ointment or any antiseptic liquid solution, moisten the bandages with that repeatedly,

when it is moist enough, it would come off easily.

do not use excess force while removing. make it sufficiently soft with ointment/ vaseline before removing.

i hope it helps.

please let me know if you have questions
