Customer Question

I had surgery for hyperparathyroidism. At Mayo Clinic, the Dr. Located adenoma on gland but instead of removing it she auto transplanted tumor and diseased gland into my sternum. Definitely out of protocol. And three years later I am so sick I feel like I am dying. Home bound, no energy, serious bone loss continuing. Cannot take calcium, makes bones hurt. This disease progresses to fractures, heart attack or stroke and kidney failure. Do not get good response from Dr. She does not believe me. I have researched this topic ad nauseum. Recently saw endocrinologist. He admitted that only healthy glands are auto transplanted, yet refused to help me. No other doctor has listened either. No hospital in Minnesota has an endocrine surgery unit. Just general surgeons. How can these doctors not help me and leave me to die?

I think you need a second opinion. Maybe out of state.

My local large university hospital is The University of Michigan. They have great endocrine surgeons there.

I would recommend that as another option
