Have had difficulty breathing with very minimal physical exertion since cleaning shower with Clorox Cleaner with bleach. No fever, vomiting, dizziness, a little coughing. Is there anything to take to till lungs recoup?

Hi there,

Chlorox exposure causes chemical pneumonitis sometimes.

Inflammation of the airways and narrowing of the small air vessels result in wheezing, shortness of breath, cough as well.

The symptoms improve fast with oral prednisone course and bronchodilators like albuterol inhalers.

Hence, a clinical evaluation in the urgent care is recommended.

There is no good over the counter substitute for these medications.

Best wishes,

It was my pleasure to help you today.
