Customer Question

I am 83, female ,slight built was 150 lbs, now 145, been on Creon for one week, for EPI, prescribed. By Gastroentorologist, Primary doctor (CPA) just prescribed Fosomax , once weekly. I have osteopenia. (FRAX- 13% next 10 yrs possible hip fracture from a fall,, hip 3.5) . She said ,,,over 3, we should be. Given Fosomax.
.....I am leery and hesitant to start. This Fosomax withCreon on board ! It's the digestive toll this may take on my digestive tract, that I and my Orthopedic Doctor is. Concerned about.. My orthopedic Doctor said to ask the Primary(CPA) to order Once a year IV .
Please Send me an answer to my dilemma . Thank you,***@******.***

Thanks for this question
I totally agreed with fosamax!
It is a VERY safe drug and can be used with creon.
There is no increase risk to your GI tract with the two.
You could use reclast IV once a year but insurance won't pay
I say try fosamax and if it doesn't work, do the IV
