Dear customer,
What is the consistency of the lump?
There are many possibilities but most commonly this could be an epidermoid cyst. This type of cystic swellings is noncancerous and occurs as a small bump beneath the skin. It is slow growing and often painless, and rarely causes problems or needs treatment. However if it is painful, ruptured or infected they can be removed by your doctor. Your doctor can usually make a diagnosis of the lump just by looking at the cyst.
Take care.
